When supporting our participants with domestic, social, or personal support, your care is person-centric to ensure that our participants live the life they want and choose. This role will definitely bring out your playful and social side, as you think of new ways to shape and improve the lives of our participants. Key Responsibilities:Pick up our participants from their independent living situations and drive them to programs at the drop-in centre or to activities in the community. Provide medication administration as well as diabetes management.Support participants to develop and maintain independence in house maintenance (cooking, meal planning, cleaning, and budgeting)Assist with personal care, health, and hygiene (dressing, toileting, bathing, mealtime, and medication)Develop relationships and social networks to assist our participants to integrate into the community in line with the NDIS plans.Please note: This position is based across the Southern Highlands.About You:As a Support Worker, you are a passionate, empathetic, and caring individual who is looking to make a positive impact on the lives of people with a disability. With your engaging nature, you have the ability to encourage and develop skills that will facilitate self-determination that is informed and inspirational. You consider your communication and interpersonal skills to be your greatest strengths and most importantly, you have a passion for the sector and can relate to our mission and values.You will have:Capacity to work across the whole Southern Highlands RegionAbility to work various shifts between 6am and 8pm, Mon-Fri.Your own car and License (P2+)Be comfortable supporting adult clients with intellectual disabilities.Medication Administration experience (Diabetes Management highly regarded)Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage people in skill development activities.Excellent written and oral communication skills including computer proficiency.First Aid Certificate & WWCC (or willingness to obtain).Cert III + in disability or relevant industry experience is highly regarded, but not essential. 28AUDBowral2576
