Provide guidance to the team to ensure claims are managed in an efficient & consistent mannerProvide stakeholders with support to assist in successful return to work outcomesHybrid work approach (5-day fortnight in our Kingsgrove office with site visits where needed)About your new role Reporting directly to the Group Manager Health Safety and Wellbeing, this role will be pivotal to the continued seamless approach of claims management, return to work initiatives, injury preventions and safe return to work measures.This role will see you leading & mentoring a team of 2 Injury Management Business Partners to ensure successful RTW outcomes within the DSA business.It will provide leadership on all aspects of workers compensation and injury management in accordance with SIRA requirements and legislative obligations.You may also be required to:Consult with stakeholders across DSA in the safety & wellbeing strategy to meet DSA’s obligation to provide a safe & healthy workplace for all employeesMaintain injury & claims strategy that supports the outcomes of the broader Safety & Wellbeing strategyLead regular reviews with the DSA leaders in relation to Workers’ compensation outcomes, measures programs & practices across the business areaMonitor incidents & injuries using Solv system to ensure that appropriate practices are in placeEnsure statutory requirements in relation to relevant workers compensation legislation are metWhat will you need to have Relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety, preferably at degree level or aboveExceptional WHS and Business partnering SkillsDemonstrated success in leading a Workers comp team to effectively manage claims experience & minimise premiumsWell-developed negotiation & influencing skills supported by robust commercial acumen skillsDetailed knowledge of WHS legislation/Regulations & evidence-based practicesAbility to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of relevant systems & processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, & fit-for-purpose applicationSecond to none communication skills both oral & writtenNSW Driver’s licenseWho We Are Disability Services Australia (DSA) is a fully owned subsidiary of Scope (Aust) Ltd.
