We are looking for an experienced full time house manager in our house in Blacktown, who is committed to supporting people with disabilities to live their life to the fullest in a supported accommodation.  Participants who use the service, are looking for a leader to walk beside them as they navigate through the next stage of their lives. This role will see you oversee daily operations in our intense residential setting shared home with 2 shifts a week on the floor. You will lead & supervise a team of Support Workers, engage with family members and stakeholders, and work directly with participants to ensure our participants achieve their goals, remain committed to community, culture and all the things they hold dear. We are looking for a leader who: Can work with participants & their supports to understand the need for consistency & connection whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.Understand the importance of person-centred active support and working in a therapeutic trauma informed way. Is resilient and understand that the people who reside at the house do not always have good days.Is adaptable in their approach to keep everyone safe and supported. Help develop plans with participants to ensure they have a voice in how they want to live their life.Recognise the importance of promoting to people with a disability to make choices, try new things, accept there are challenges and provide reassurance to work through problems.Understand the importance for reflective practice in the planning & reviews of supports & future learning.Ability to motivate a team through challenges.We would like you to have: Demonstrated experience supporting teams to achieve positive outcomes for participants who express behaviours that challenge services. A sound knowledge and understanding of person-centred active support, positive behaviour support, and Trauma Informed CareExperience of reflective Practice and Practice LeadershipExperience of implementing positive behaviour support plans, restrictive practices A thorough understanding of contemporary practice and legislation e.g., NDIS Quality and Safeguarding framework, NDIS capability Framework, NIDS Practice Standards, NSW Mental Health Act, NSW Guardianship ActSIL funding, Rosters of CareSkills and experience working with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated capacity to manage and resolve critical issues and deal with challenging situations.Minimum qualification - Certificate IV in Disability or other relevant tertiary qualificationsSome Benefits when you join us: Work within a supportive team environmentAwesome NFP salary sacrifice options through MAXXIA Novated Leasing options through MAXXIA Ongoing learning & development to set you up for success.A work life balanced approach About the house and who we are: The house is a purpose-built property, capable of supporting four people at any one time.
