About the roleYou will develop compliant and interactive learning resources and assessment tools to meet relevant training packages. When developing resources, your focus will be on creating high-quality, innovative and engaging learning materials that meet the training needs of existing and potential customers including methods to assist learners with disability. You will also assist in developing online learning resources. This position is best suited for those with strong communication skills and an analytical mindset as you will consult with various stakeholders, subject matter experts and team members to support managers to diversify and grow the METS business.Key responsibilities:Develop compliant and fit for purpose Vocational, Education and Training (VET) assessment tools. This includes assessments for knowledge, practice and product and includes mapping and marking guides.  Ensure all developed assessments satisfy the requirements of the Standards for Accredited Courses, Standards for Training Packages and Standards for RTOs and quality writing standards. Amend reviews of developed materials undertaken by the METS Quality Assurance team. Amendments as a result of review will be completed within the contractor’s development rate per Unit of Competency.Contextualise/revise purchased learning resources as per the training package requirements and design interactive Learner guides, PowerPoint presentations, Observation checklists, Assessment tasks, Trainers guides, Assessor guides and Mapping Matrices.Conduct instructional research and analysis to determine and establish best practice options for METS learners and courses.Maintain currency in relation to evolving educational resource content writing practices to ensure teaching and learning resources are contemporary and fit for purpose.About YouYou have a genuine interest and passion for writing quality learning and assessment materials. With proven experience working in instructional design, learning design and/or educational design. This position will suit a results driven, proactive, independent worker with the ability to develop complex and compliant teaching and learning resources, ideally with Moodle or equivalent experience.
