As the spread of COVID-19 continues in Victoria, and in a growing number of areas of NSW, particularly South Western Sydney, these additional measures will help keep our participants, their friends and families, our employees and the communities we work in safe.
NSW Health has recommended staff involved in supporting our participants should wear a mask to minimise the potential spread of infection. All DSA support staff will wear a face mask while at work until at least the end of July.
All our sites continue to limit access to non-essential visitors, enhance personal hygiene and infection control and implement social distancing.
Site access measures (temperature checking, visitor registers and illness/travel history questioning) and additional hygiene and cleaning are in place at each of these sites.
These are simple but important measures that can help protect our participants and employees as well as reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
DSA’s Home Solutions are so much more than the in-home supports and assistance with self-care that might be necessary for a person to live independently, either on their own or in a shared living arrangement.
NDIS funding is all about giving people with disability more choice and control, and we recognise the difference the right supports can make in a person’s life.
Recognising that one of our basic human needs is to have a safe, secure place to live, we focus on providing independent living support that best meets people’s needs.
We offer a range of accommodation models including community living drop in support, villa complexes and group homes with 24/7 support. We firmly believe that every person should have the support they need to live as independently as possible.
We empower people to explore opportunities to live the life they want to. This might be through improved health and wellbeing, a sense of belonging and connection to family and friends and exploring opportunities for new social activities and interests in the community.
