NDIS funding is all about giving people with disability more choice and control, and we recognise the difference the right supports can make in a person’s life.
DSA’s Community and Home Living supports are so much more than the in-home supports and assistance with self-care that might be necessary for a person to live independently, either on their own or in a shared living arrangement.
Acknowledging that one of our basic human needs is to have a safe, secure place to live, we focus on providing independent living support, also referred to as SIL, that best meets people’s individual needs.
We empower people to explore opportunities to live the life they want to live. This might be through improved health and wellbeing, a sense of belonging and connection to family and friends and exploring opportunities for new social activities and interests in the community.
We offer a range of SIL accommodation models including community living drop in support, villa complexes and group homes with 24/7 support. We firmly believe that every person should have the support they need to live as independently as possible.
