Day Options Services supporting people to find active and enjoyable activities that are vocational, social, skill development or recreational in nature.
Citizenship, valued roles, and community inclusion result from the individual and small group support provided. Funding is mostly individualised through Family and Community Services Ageing, Disability & Home Care as Community Participation, Life Choices, Active Ageing, Teen Time, NDIS and or respite dependent on the person’s life stage or specific need.
DSA also receives block funding to provide the same suite of services to people who come to DSA directly as self-referrals from Case Managers, community linkages such as General Practitioners, Community Health, Housing providers and from ADHC.
DSA Day Options has a proud history of quality services provision for people who have complex barriers to achieving their aspirational goals and having a 'good life'. In addition to our generalist services, DSA's Autism specialist services receive ongoing support from our in-house highly qualified Specialist Intervention team of Clinical and Registered Psychologists.
For the past three years DSA has been an eligible provider of Self-Managed Packages. The number of people who have decided to exercise their right to personally manage most aspects of the planning, organising and coordination of their service options has grown over the past year. After initial support planning, DSA continues to value-add to each person's options by providing timely guidance, financial reporting, information that will enhance options and solutions to barriers that may arise.
