What is the NDIS

The NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

It’s a new way of supporting people with a permanent and significant disability.  If your disability affects your ability to take part in everyday activities and you acquired it before the age of 65, the NDIS is almost certainly for you.

It is a rights based, person-centred support system which will help many thousands of Australians with a disability and their families by providing targeted supports aligned to their individual needs.

It was established to give you more choice and control over how, when and where your supports are provided.

At DSA, we’re excited about the opportunities the NDIS brings to deliver truly person centred and self-directed support for people with a disability.
